A heat wave in Tokyo in June is the worst since 1875

On Tuesday, Japan was hit by a scorching heat wave for the fourth day in a row as the heat wave in the capital broke a nearly 150-year record for June, and authorities warned that power supplies remained tight enough to cause blackouts.
