Apple has reached a $490 million compensation settlement
Apple has agreed to pay $490 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging that CEO Tim Cook defrauded shareholders by covering up a drop in demand for iPhones in China. The tentative agreement was filed Friday in U.S. District Court in Oakland, California, and requires approval from U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers.
