Argentine court halts new mining permits on environmental grounds
An Argentinean court in the province of Catamarca has suspended the granting of new mining permits, demanding that new environmental impact studies be carried out on local lithium projects. The ruling affects the Los Patos-Salar del Hombre Muerto river area, where Arcadium Lithium has a project.
