Greta Gerwig, the acclaimed director of the hit “Barbie”, will head the jury of the 77th Cannes Film Festival. The event will be held from 14 to 25 May 2024. Gerwig became the first American director and the youngest to hold the post at the age of 40, surpassing Quentin Tarantino and Luc Besson, who were both 41.
