Bird flu was detected at another poultry farm in Germany
About 6,700 ducks and geese will be slaughtered after an outbreak of highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza on a farm in eastern Germany, authorities said Thursday. The disease was confirmed at a farm in Schönberg in the eastern state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, the state’s agriculture ministry said.
