Brazil has allocated $65 million from the Amazon Foundation to protect rainforests
Brazil’s National Development Bank has approved 318 million reais ($65 million) from the Amazon Fund ($1.3 billion) to create a security project to combat deforestation and other environmental crimes in the rainforest, a senior official said.
