Britain’s deputy prime minister downplayed comments by US vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance that Britain is a nuclear-armed Islamist country. Vance, whom Donald Trump named as his running mate, said Britain was the ‘first truly Islamist country’ to have nuclear weapons after Labour’s election victory.
