BYD recalls 97,000 best-selling electric cars due to steering failure

BYD has informed China’s regulator of a recall of nearly 97,000 electric vehicles (EVs) due to a manufacturing defect related to a steering control unit that could lead to a risk of fire, the market regulator said on Sunday.
