Cairo Film Festival cancelled as Middle East violence escalates
The Cairo Film Festival, which was to be held from 15-24 November, has been cancelled because of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. The organisers of the event said that the decision to postpone the 45th edition of the festival had been taken by the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Dr Neveen El-Kelani, and that new dates would be determined.
