Cholera vaccine stocks ’empty’ due to rising incidence of disease
The emergency global stockpile of cholera vaccine is empty and all available doses for this month have already been distributed to countries battling major outbreaks, two UN agencies told Reuters. A shortfall of at least 50 million doses between supply and demand is forecast for the rest of this year, a UNICEF spokesman added, as cases continue to rise around the world.
