Colombia pledges to put nature at the centre of global environmental talks

Susana Muhamad, Colombia’s environment minister, who is expected to become president of Cop16, said the South American country will use the summit to ensure that nature is a key part of the global environmental agenda in the year of preparation for Climate Cop30 in the Brazilian Amazon. in 2025, where countries will present new plans to implement the Paris Agreement.
