A snow cap on Mount Fuji in Japan has been recorded for the first time in 130 years
Japan’s revered Mount Fuji was finally covered by its legendary snow cap again on Thursday, setting a record for the slowest snowfall in 130 years, the weather agency said. The mountain reached the annual milestone on 5 October last year, making this year’s snow cap the latest since 1894 when the phenomenon was first recorded.
