A strike at a US East Coast port is expected on Tuesday

Port workers in the eastern United States and Gulf Coast are set to strike at midnight on Monday, and no talks are currently planned to avert a strike that threatens to halt container traffic from Maine to Texas and cost the economy $5 billion a day.
