African swine fever outbreaks are spreading in Vietnam and could affect its food supply, according to a government document. African swine fever has disrupted the $250 billion global pork market for years. In the worst outbreak of 2018 and 2019, about half of the domestic pig herd died in China, causing losses estimated at more than $100bn.
