Bitcoin surged to the edge of $90,000 on Tuesday, buoyed by a wave of euphoria since Donald Trump’s election as US president on expectations that his administration will be friendly to cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is rising along with Tesla, which has surged nearly 40 per cent since the vote results were known.
