Commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions still fall far short of what is needed to limit catastrophic global warming, the United Nations said. ‘Current national climate plans fall far short of what is needed to prevent global warming from crippling every economy and ruining billions of lives and livelihoods in every country,’ it said.
