Ghana’s main cocoa-growing region 81% infected with bean disease
A major cocoa-growing region of Ghana, the world’s second largest producer, is 81% infected with swollen bean disease, according to the International Cocoa Organisation. Cocoa prices have doubled this year due to adverse weather and the disease in major producers Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
