India is forecast to receive more rainfall than normal in September after heavy rains in August, the Meteorological Department said on Saturday. India Meteorological Department Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra told a virtual press conference that rainfall in September is likely to be more than 109 per cent of the 50-year average.
