India to spend $300 million on flood prevention and water conservation in major cities
India will spend about $300 million over two years to expand reservoirs such as lakes and build drainage systems in seven cities including Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore to mitigate floods and save water, a government official told Reuters on Wednesday.
