Oil spill threatens Philippine capital after tanker sinking
An oil tanker carrying industrial fuel sank Thursday in rough seas off the coast of the Philippines, killing one crew member and causing an oil spill that could spread to waters off the capital Manila, officials said. Sixteen of the 17 crew members of the MT Terra Nova have been rescued.
