Pedro Almodóvar to receive award at San Sebastian Festival
Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar will receive the Donostia Award for his ‘extraordinary contribution to cinema’ at this year’s San Sebastian Film Festival. Almodóvar is intimately linked to San Sebastian, where he premiered his second feature film Pepi, Luci, Bom in 1980, and returned in 1982 with Labyrinth of Passions, the film that made him a talent to be reckoned with.
