Right-hander Frankie Montas has signed a two-year, $34 million contract with the New York Mets, multiple media outlets reported Sunday night. After competing in the National League Championship Series, New York is trying to fill out the starting lineup after seeing Sean Manaea, Luis Severino and Jose Quintana become free agents.
