The director of Gladiator II has denied claims by its star, Denzel Washington, that a same-sex kiss was removed from the final version of the film. Last week, Washington said: ‘I actually kissed a guy in the movie, but they took it out, they cut it out, I think they got cowardly. I kissed a guy on the lips and I guess they weren’t ready for that yet.’
