Skydance Media and Paramount Global have officially announced their merger

Skydance Media has officially announced its merger with Paramount Global in an $8bn takeover of the media conglomerate. David Ellison will become chairman and CEO, and former NBCUniversal head Jeff Shell will become its president. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2025.
