Thailand has approved Western Digital’s project. Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) said the $693 million project will expand hard drive production in the country due to growing demand for cloud technology and data centres. BOI said the investment will boost the Thai economy by increasing exports by 200 billion baht a year and creating 10,000 additional jobs.
