U.S. sues TikTok over privacy violations of children under 13
The US Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against TikTok for failing to protect children’s privacy on the social networking app. The government said TikTok violated the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, which requires services aimed at children to obtain parental consent to collect personal information.
