Diamond necklace possibly linked to Marie-Antoinette’s death to be auctioned off
A diamond necklace believed to be involved in a scandal that led to the downfall of France’s last queen, Marie Antoinette, is to be sold in Geneva. The Georgian-era piece containing 300 carats of diamonds to be sold on November 13 in Geneva is valued at around 2 million Swiss francs ($2.29 million), although it could fetch much more.
