Drought is drying up Chile’s drinking water
After 15 years of devastating drought, Chile’s reservoirs are drying up, threatening access to drinking water in the country. The Cogoti reservoir in the Coquimbo region, a basin with a capacity of 150 million cubic metres, has been completely depleted as the southern hemisphere summer draws to a close.
