British artist Jasleen Kaur was awarded the Turner Prize 2024 for contemporary art, with an exhibition that the judges said reflected on everyday objects and animated them through sound and music to ‘summon community and cultural heritage’. The prestigious art prize is awarded to an artist born or based in the UK for an outstanding exhibition or presentation of their work in the last 12 months.
