Authorities say the fire in Jasper, Alberta, is under control
Progress has been made in putting out fires in the Canadian tourist town of Jasper. The remaining fires are expected to be extinguished by the end of the day, authorities said. The fires, caused by a massive wildfire raging in Alberta’s mountainous Jasper National Park, have reportedly destroyed about a third of the town.
