Greek islands hit by water crisis
The largest reservoir on the Greek island of Naxos has dried up and is only useful for the turtles that navigate its muddy shallows. Downstream, seawater has seeped into empty irrigation wells, damaging the island’s potato crop. On the island of Karpathos, the authorities have imposed restrictions on filling pools.
