Italy’s Catania airport closed due to ash from Mount Etna volcano
Flights to the Italian city of Catania were suspended on Tuesday after an eruption of nearby Mount Etna, creating further travel problems during the peak northern summer tourist season. Mount Etna, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, has experienced intense activity in recent days, spewing hot ash and lava.
