Emmanuel Macron met on Monday with his predecessors and two senior politicians considered as candidates to become the next prime minister, as the French president moves closer to announcing a new government leader. Macron hosted former socialist François Hollande and right-wing Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as Bernard Cazeneuve.
