Matthew McConaughey recently told Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios on the podcast ‘Good Trouble’ that he left Hollywood and moved his family to Texas when the industry refused to let him leave the world of romantic comedies. Because of this, the actor made a pact with his wife and told her: ‘I won’t work again unless I’m offered roles I want to play’. And those roles were not romantic comedies.
