Poland prepares for peaking floods
Wroclaw, Poland’s third largest city, is preparing to cope with floodwaters, although early indications were that its defences were holding firm. The flood wave that has inundated the border region between Poland and the Czech Republic reached Wroclaw overnight on Wednesday, but there were initially no signs of serious damage.
