The US has authorised Starlink to provide direct cellular coverage in hurricane-affected areas

The US Federal Communications Commission on Sunday cleared Elon Musk’s SpaceX and T Mobile to turn on Starlink satellites with direct-to-cellphone capability to provide cellular coverage to areas of North Carolina hit hard by Hurricane Helen.
