EU agrees to reduce emissions of super-powered greenhouse gases
The European Union on Thursday agreed a deal to reduce the use of HFCs in refrigerators and air conditioners, part of the EU’s broader plans to cut CO2 emissions and protect the environment. EU negotiators and lawmakers reached agreement on legislation that will see the EU phase out hydrofluorocarbons completely by 2050.
