EU considers softening organic rules to quell protests
The European Commission proposed easing a series of rules on set-aside or crop rotation, offering concessions to farmers who have protested with tractor blockades across Europe in recent months. The Commission will send its proposals to EU member governments to reflect on how to improve the position of farmers in the food supply chain.
