EU greenhouse gas emissions fall 5% in the second quarter
Greenhouse gas emissions in the European Union fell by more than 5 per cent in the second quarter, with the biggest decline in electricity and gas supply. EU emissions between April and June amounted to 821 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent, down 5.3% from a year earlier.
