EU needs trillions in investment to meet climate targets by 2050
The European Union will need €1.5 trillion a year in investment to meet its zero-emissions target by 2050, according to a study backed Monday by EU green lawmakers. The European Commission plans to recommend next week that the EU cut its net emissions by 90% by 2040 from 1990 levels.
