The European Commission presented the centrepieces of its strategy to ensure that its industry can compete with the US and China in manufacturing clean tech products and accessing the raw materials needed for the green transition. The Net Zero Industry Act and the Critical Raw Materials Act aim to ensure that the EU leads the way in reducing carbon emissions and the technology needed to do so.
