FIFA lifts ban on Russia’s under-17 participation in international football
World football’s governing body FIFA announced Wednesday that it has lifted Russia’s ban on international soccer, allowing the country’s under-17 girls’ and boys’ teams to participate in tournaments. The move followed a similar relaxation for Russia’s youth teams adopted last week by European soccer’s governing body UEFA.
