Fitbit is recalling 1.7 million Ionic smartwatches due to “burn hazards”

Fitness tracker maker Fitbit is recalling 1.7 million of its Ionic smartwatches after reports of battery overheating and fires among some users. The watch was recalled after Fitbit received 174 reports of battery overheating, including burns to 118 people.
