France’s Credit Agricole to stop financing new fossil fuel projects
Credit Agricole, France’s second-largest listed bank, said on Thursday it would stop financing new fossil fuel projects and publish its contribution to the sector as part of its new climate targets. The announcement came in the wake of the COP28 climate summit, where nearly 200 countries agreed to start cutting global fossil fuel consumption to prevent the worst effects of climate change.
