HBO plans to develop the Game of Thrones universe with several projects. There would be eight TV series that HBO is currently developing, a figure that George R.R. Martin mentioned on the Bangcast podcast. He also confirmed that of all the projects in the pipeline, only A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Knight of the Hedge has been greenlit.
