Farmers and their tractors poured into Berlin from all corners of Germany to join a huge protest demanding a rethink of plans to raise taxes. Some 10,000 people packed the avenue leading to Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate for a mass rally that capped a week of anti-government protests.
