Google settles consumer privacy lawsuit for $5 billion
Google has agreed to settle a lawsuit accusing it of secretly monitoring the internet use of millions of people who thought they were browsing privately. Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers in Oakland, California, adjourned the trial scheduled for 5 February after lawyers for Google and consumer advocates said they had reached a tentative agreement.
