Greenland’s glaciers are melting five times faster than they did 20 years ago

Global warming has increased the rate of glacial melting in Greenland fivefold over the past 20 years, scientists from the University of Copenhagen said Friday. Melting ice in Greenland is of particular concern because the ancient ice sheet contains enough water to raise sea levels by at least 20 feet (6 metres) if it were to melt completely.
