Hage Geingob, president of Namibia, has died at the age of 82
Namibian President Hage Geingob died early Sunday morning at a hospital in the capital Windhoek, the presidential office said in a statement. He was 82. Geingob, first elected president in 2014, was Namibia’s longest-serving prime minister and third president. Namibia is due to hold presidential and national assembly elections near the end of the year.
