Heat-related deaths could more than quadruple by mid-century
Heat-related illnesses and deaths are on the rise as the world heats up, an international panel of health experts said on Tuesday, predicting a 370 per cent rise in annual heat-related deaths by mid-century if the world warms by 2 degrees Celsius, above pre-industrial levels.
